The Gables-Clarens

The location of the place and the establishment were exceptional. My family and I loved every moment of our stay. Definitely, consider booking at the same place again in future.

Absolutely nothing

OMG we booked the loft, worst place I have ever booked in Clarens, only stayed one night and had to find an alternative. The place is soooo small, it should not not be called a loft, rather a attic, we were literally in the roof above the garage. Pictures of the inside of this place are not shown, they should be included. It says the height restriction is 1.7m, what they don't say is that it is 1.7m in the middle of the house and the whole thing is shaped like a triangle, so three steps to the left or the right you are bumping into the roof. I have included pictures for reference. The host then proceed to claim we didn't show up basically to block me from reviewing this place, please do not not book this loft......

The swimming pool and the proximity to the town square. The loft also offered a complete different experience. The hosts left us little snacks which is always nice.

I think if you dont know about the height limit then that might be a let down. Obviously I knew about it and just made the experience more memorable.

Stayed in the loft, perfect for a short stay, all the necessary and niceties of a home into this clever little space. Although it might not be for (very) tall people, it had everything we needed, while the big garden, braai and pool, plus proximity to Clarens central well makes up for the space. We were greeted by Sharon's baked goods and sherry. Good quality linnen, towels, aircon, heater in bathroom, fast Internet and lots of TV options. We found it to be a good base for Golden Gate and Witsieshoek hiking. The instructions provided prior were also clear, with a box key + code to get the keys.

Might not be for tall people as it is in a loft with diagonal beams, but it is just on the sides not the whole space.

I liked the location, the swimming pool, and good internet.

It was not a separate apartment, it was separated from the neighbors only by a door, all the smells of food and the noise of dogs penetrated very well.

Excellent location, Sharon was amazing host. The kids loved the loft as it was cozy. It was however smaller than expected but very well furnished. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Clarens.

The place was very nice and clean just few minutes from everything restaurants 👌

The braai area please put some chairs and atleast a non movable table
