Amazing Beach House in Melkbos!

Open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. Proximity to the beach and big grounds for our dog.

Sharing a bathroom without a stand alone shower. The latch on the ensuite door not working. Faulty gas stove.

Lovely, well stocked house and garden in a great location close to the beach. Clean comfortable beds.

The drive up to the garage is a bit steep. Better to reverse in but it may be a challenge for some. Also, the steps leading onto the patio could be a problem for people with mobility issues. A few maintenance issues but Luke came to help us out.

Beautiful area. House design is actually quite good. You can see the ocean from it. It's the type of house you can get used to quicker in a good way. You won't have to ask yourself where am I! It can quickly become homely. The fire area was also so good the house become very warm in one go! In the coldest winter in Cape Town i could walk around with a t shirt because of the fire place. Yard was clean and spacious. The owner organized a guy to fix the garage door motor. Actually we moved in while he was in the middle of that and he communicated it well

House lacked practicality. Small pot and we were a family of 3 couples. Water went cold and we couldn't shower in some poonts of our stay and it needed to be set from where the owner is (why wasnt it set for maximum heat from the beginning?). Drain didn't work and was not attended to till we left. Wifi went off the day before we left. So in our final 24 hours we didnt have wifi. For a 3 bedroom house I would have wanted more comfortable couches rather than one big couch and small uncomfortable chairs. In other words, the house need to be maxed. Enhance wifi reliability, add more bigger pots for families, make hot water available and attend to the plumbing issues! Without these issues the house would have been a rating of 10.
