Dirt road to Elements is bad!

The Tranquility. Peacefulness...Wildlife...The layout of the Lodge. The Views. The golf course. The privacy. Friendly staff at the Golf Club. Annalise the Beverage Manager at the Golf Club is very friendly and helpful, especially when the units owner/representative was ignorant to the emergency pertaining to our unit having no torches, no back up lights, no candles ...nothing when there was massive power outages.

We reserved and paid for 3 nights accomodation. Arriving on day one there was no power as from 11h00 due to a substation fault. The unit does not provide the basic essentiallys such as even candles, torches, rechargeable lights, gas stoves or cooking equipments that can be used over a fire. So being in the middle of pitch dark bush veld with no lighting is no joke. In today's times with loadshedding in general and unplanned power outages, a guest lodge (especially one in the bushveld), should make provisions for their guests for these situations. We contacted Tiffany, no answer. We then sent messages to her and she responded by saying she can't help us as she was in Alberton and that we can call the cleaning lady about this. We got hold of the cleaning lady who told us she was in Bela Bela and couldn't understand why the owners/owner rep gave us her number. Day 2 we still had no power and had to drive all the way to Bela Bela to go buy torches, candles, a gas stove so we could at least cook. Our power was only restored during the early morning hours of day 3. It is with utter disgust to say that for the amount of money we paid to stay at this lodge, the owner/owners rep didn't care or even try and assist us in any way. Shocking! If this lodge could just make provision for power outages, so that you can at least safely make use of the amenities they advertise, then this lodge would literally be perfect. It really isn't safe in the pitch black dark of night with absolutely nothing except your cellphone torch...that's running low on battery power.

First of all, we came quite late in the afternoon around 4-5pm, the unit we were supposed to stay was not ready and not even planned to be ready. All around the place it was a mess, cigarette butts everywhere. We called to change the unit and they did, but it was pretty much the same, but it was very late already so we decided to stay. About the new unit: dirtiness on another level, if you want to sit first you need to clean the space, pool looks like you can get a disease if you step your foot in, couchins outside so dirty and smelly and if you open a wardrobe a smell of mold makes eyes wet. Long story short, we booked for two nights, but after first we left and they promised us to refund. Guess what? One and half month no refund. Absolute scammers, would never recommend to even consider this place to stay.

Wow this place is is very big and for the price value for money wouldn't mind going back

It’s a quiet and safe environment, we were able to relax well. The view is beautiful and the swimming pool was really nice. The host was very helpful and friendly, and she made checking in and out really easy.

The property requires maintenance in some areas. The couches have burn holes, both bathrooms experience ceiling leaks after showering, and there’s no space for hanging hand towels. Also, a section of the roof was lying in front of one of the rooms, which obstructed the view. Overall still a good experience.
