If I pay R4000 for a place for ONE night, I expect it to be in pristine condition. Even upon entering the garage, this was not the case. Serious maintenance is needed from the entrance all the way throughout the house. The curtains appear dirty, there were lipmarks and other marks on the mirror, the sliding door was extremely dirty and struggled to open. The patio floor was dirty and the grill inside the weber was filthy. Both couches are torn and raggedy, especially the white one. Cusion cases were dirty and torn. Dirty marks on the walls and windows. The tv console is broken with one drawer hanging to the side. The channels available were also disappointing. Lots of maintenance also needed upstairs. The one bathroom upstairs smelled really bad. There was a really sharp detergent smell in some places where there was an attempt to clean. Still it didn't smell fresh or nice in the house. This is the most disappointed I have ever been in accomodation. And I lost R4000 on this. Needless to say we didn't even unpack and rather went home. False advertising and extremely overpriced. The photos were taken a long time ago. The pots in the drawer is also the cheapest kind you can find and not suited for guests at that exorbitant fee for an overnight stay.

The house feels homey, even with its flaws. The host was available, nice to us - allowed a very late checkout. We didn't want to leave. The house was clean. It's spacious. Even though security is a bit disorganized when we checked in - the security themselves afterwards were very friendly and helpful. It feels safe. It's a beautiful estate.

There was no wifi. House needs a few updates - oven glass comes off, kitchen cupboards are falling off, table at the balcony downstairs is not stable - feels like it would break any moment. The stove and geyser were off at the main switch and we had to figure that out by ourselves after needing to cook and hot water.
