it was in a quiet place and close to the dam

having to pay for someone to come and clean for us. it was the first time experiencing such. it does need TLC,it’s a beautiful place that has been neglected a bit. I actually hurt myself when I was trying to enter the shower. The door was loose but was left just leaning against the structure. immediately when I tried to open it just fell on me and cut my arm. if they want to continue to rent it out I think they should at least fix it to a decent place.

Lack of transparency regarding the facilities. Few but critical things (e.g., kettle, fridge, AC) were not either partially working or not working at all and no one informed us of that. In addition, I received no joy when trying to get assistance in this regard, particularly the AC and decided not to report the rest.

access from the gate is a tedious exercise. only the driver must be asked for proof of ID at the gate especially because all ID documents were sent in advance.

Location is perfect. Beautiful, spacious house. Great for a getaway to relax and unwind.

Good location - good atmosphere within the estate. Overall layout of the house was good. Clean white bed linen and blankets were provided. Rechargeable lights were provided.

WiFi was only connected on the second day after complaining. The gas tank for the heater was empty and a filled one was not supplied. We ended up having to make a fire in the braai stand outside for warmth for our entire stay. The host requested that we go and buy a tank (for future refunding) which was not acceptable at all. Unprofessional and rude interaction by the owner when she was called on Saturday afternoon to follow up on our queries. General cleaning needs to be improved. Dust on surfaces, cob webs, water marks on glasses and cutlery.
