DullVino First House

Nice layout of the house especially the open plan kitchen, braai area and lounge. The solar power which helped when the town had no power.

The geyser for the on-suit bathroom was cold on the first night. It is a bit noisy with the inverter, especially when the house is quiet. Not enough hanging space for clothes.

The fireplace gave a wonderful ambience. Relaxed in the lounge and the L shaped living areas created enough interaction and family time

Whatever you do, do not use this property for staying in Dullstroom. The key collection was a joke & our keys had been collected by someone else. We had to be relocated to a different, smaller property further out of town which completely defeated the purpose of our visit to stay near to family friends. The owner reassured me on multiple occasions that he was going to give me a refund but he is obviously a liar as I have not received a penny. I have barely even received an apology for an appalling mix up with severely affected my trip.

Honestly there was almost nothing to not like about this place. We loved everything about this place. It was so spacious and yet cozy at the same time. Beautiful home, it was very clean and well kept. The rooms were spacious, the panel heaters and electric blankets were a nice touch because it was a bit chilly outside.

One of the single electric blankets wasn't working in the single room, but it wasn't a trainsmash as the duvet was nice and thick.

The house was everything you needed to stay.

The location is perfect for both runners/cyclists as well as weekend "shoppers" and for relaxing. Went on various distance runs from here as well as running to parkrun and back. We also just walked to the main street to explore Dullstroom

The only thing we found was that the inside braai/fireplace smoked the house out. When I spoke to the owners, they said that it is caused by wet/damp wood. This was most probably the problem, but I have an asthmatic child, so I was not keen to try it again. I would suggest that the owner consider installing a freestanding stove or fireplace. That would warm the house up beautifully without the smoke in the house.
