The location was in a residential area and a quiet area. Though there were no shops in the immediate vicinity, there were a few (including a laundromat) about 10-15 minutes walk. The washing machine did not work.. However the host did offer to pay for use of laundromat which was very kind. So I would not count that as an issue.
Vegetarian food (Indian) was not available in the immediate vicinity but they were just a short taxi ride away.
