Jim, the owner, was really helpful with directions and the welcoming bottle of wine and biscuits was a nice touch.

This may be because the coastal road was closed due to roadworks further south, but the number of heavy lorries passing the house throughout the night made for disturbed sleep.

Views from the property were outstanding.

We liked the comfortable and warm home. We liked being close to Oban. The surrounding countryside was lovely

I would have liked an extra blanket at night however was able to warm up easily with the heating turned on. On arrival the kitchen needed airing , and we realised later, this was because the metal trays in the oven still oily. As international travellers, We would really have appreciated some paper towel, or foil etc.

It really felt like a home from home rather than a holiday rental. We ended up taking our dog - who we didnt have when we booked - but there was a big enclosed garden for him to run about in which we all loved. Also - saw a white tailed eagle from the garden and 2 from the east lay by at Loch Feochan- just a couple of minutes drive from the house.

Kept thinking I should contact Jim about getting instructions for the hot water.......but didn't as it wasn't a big deal......but can't really think of anything else we didn't like. Thinking about going back next year.
