Bridgewater Lodge with Hot Tub

Perfect space for 4 people. Beds were comfortable and the lodge is spacious. Lodge is on a really quiet area of the site. Great value for money. Hot tub was ready for us to use on arrival, it was clean and easy to use. Checkin and checkout was really simple.

The space isn’t set up for 6 people. Only 4 chairs are at the table and 4 outdoors seats. 1 small duvet was provided in addition to the made beds but it had no duvet cover, no extra pillows and no bedding for the sofa bed. I felt like I was already being told off from all the emails I received in the lead up to our stay. The terms and conditions are incredibly strict and make it sound like no fun will be accepted! In reality, there is no staff presence on this area of site and at checkin we were in and out within 30 secs. There is a smell of drains somewhere around the lodge that is really unpleasant. There is an area between the next lodge that floods and makes the smell even worse. The “lake” is a pond that is in dire need of some planting and TLC!

Great location, very big and spacious inside

Wasn’t the cleanest, cobwebs and dust in most rooms, tables didn’t look to be cleaned and carpets had all bits on them in the living room before we even was there. Also a horrible and off putting smell coming from either the next lodge as looked as though it was leaking or from lake.

The hot tub was fab! The place was fab!

The fact we still haven't received our security deposit back 2 weeks later!

the location was lovely on-site with the lake outside. we loved the hot tub and the on site restaurant was amazing, food was excellent,they surprised my 3 year old with balloons in the table after I mentioned on booking it was his birthday. we ate /drank there twice. the lodge was very good quality with smart tvs in living room and bedroom. a lot bigger then we expected even with a separate utility.

Cooker didn’t work

Clean, spacious and the hot tub was a nice little bonus.

Slow Wi-Fi, a little remote so could do with a little shop on site. Needed a broom or vacuum so we could sweep up easier.

Lovely lodge well spaced out. Everything you needed in the kitchen . Plenty space in the fridge freezer and a washing machine to rinse and spin the cossy’s after a dip in the hot tub. Iron and hairdryer on site also only thing missing was a hoover to clean the floor/ carpet before we left. The lodge was on a little lake front witch we found extremely relaxing. And watching the ducklings every morning/ evening was lovely. It’s a very safe site for children. Nice dining area in the on-site restaurant all well kept and plenty choices. Some smashing places to visit in Pocklington especially Burnby Hall gardens. Plenty shops restaurants near by to. My only downside to my stay in the lodge was the oven. It kept tripping out. We we’re constantly relighting it to the point of no return. The maintenance man arrived quickly and put the oven on and thought he solved the issue but as soon as he drove away the oven tripped out. Due to this we had to dispose of food we bought that we couldn’t cook and had to spend more on eating out than we had budget for. Hopefully the owner get that issue resolved otherwise our stay would of been absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend the lodge to anyone once the issue is resolved.

We have been to this site before and the lodge we were in before (the waterhole lodge) definitely was a tiny bit better, and cleaner than this one. Although it wasn't too dirty, it certainly wasn't spotless and there was a few cobwebs, but it was still a nice lodge and the hottub was nice, apart from it getting foamy, think it needs some foam remover in it lol.

It wasnt as clean as we expected if honest, but wasn't that bad. The hot tub lid looked scruffy and a few little bits just haven't been touched for a while. But still a good weekend. Also the name of the lodge has changed and is now called park view, along with several other lodges on the site now.
