The property itself is a modern four bedroom detached home with a lovely garden in a beautiful area with easy links to York.

Booking.com were brilliant as always. The property on paper should have been ideal . We had specifically wanted and asked for a quiet property which is how this is described by the company who operates it. What was not said is that there is a large industrial farm at the end of the road and tractors and lorries went up and down the single track road from very early in the morning until late at night constantly throughout our stay which was very disruptive, particularly with kids trying to settle in the evening. It was the height of summer and there was obviously farming activity going on which we were conscious of hence why we asked if this was a quiet property. We were disappointed by the dismissive attitude of YORGUEST when we reported the issue.
