Could do with bedside lamp in small bedroom and larger mirror Apart from that the property had everything we needed Would book it again

We loved our stay at the wonderful Bar Wall Cottage. The view of the Bar Walls was fantastic! The kitchen was very well equipped and there was a lovely basket of treats on our arrival. We really liked that the house had a few Christmas decorations too! We hope to go and stay there again soon.

Stunningly decorated, warm cosy home

Beautiful, immaculate, warm house with everything you could possibly need for a holiday. The beds were so comfortable too. The Christmas decs were also a lovely touch. Great view of the city wall and within walking distance of the Christmas Market, Shambles and shops. The street is very pretty and quiet so we had no problem with noise disturbances and sleeping.

Decor was a bit dark and gloomy and another toilet would have been handy. It would have been fantastic to have a parking permit for the street outside. As it was we rented a driveway via Just Park which was half the cost of local car parking (£75 for 5 days) in a public car park but a 20 min walk away, not ideal after a long tiring drive to get to the property.

Exceptional property done to a good standard. Everything you could wish for to support a satisfactory stay. Good location for city exploring, with everything within walking distance. Top property and will visit York again in the near future.

The house is gorgeous in a brilliant location and nice and quiet but only 10 minute walk to the centre. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy very welcoming

If I really had to find something it would be that the house is chilly being only single pane windows
