Excellent location, with easy access both for ar and walking. The property was very comfortable and well set up.

Beds a little hard

A lovely little house, well furnished, very comfortable beds. Very convenient for York and other destinations by train.

Central heating was set rather low for 2 old ladies, with no thermostat to increase it. The blower heater made it bearable, but I find the dry air from them uncomfortable. It would have helped avoid panic on arrival if I had known that key safe is at the BACK door. I

Location geographically was excellent. The standard of accommodation very good too. Easy parking also and the owners seemed very friendly and accommodating. Initially we thought we had made an excellent choice.

We were booked for three nights and had disturbance or significant noise on each of these nights and struggled to sleep. There are stairs down to an underground carpark opposite the front door of the house. Whether the gate to the carpark was locked or not, there were loud voices from the stairs and smoke rising above the wall. Obviously a meet up place to smoke and chat/bellow. On the second night I opened the front and shouted for quiet as this was going to continue past midnight, without intervention. The third night the steps were clear, to our relief, but we then suffered inconsiderate neighbours letting young children stay up after midnight, moving around and perpetually laughing and screaming loudly,with windows open. Could be a result of the barmy warm nights but as a result, this is the least sleep we have ever had anywhere unfortunately. We were shattered when we departed.

Great location to the centre of York. Plenty of space for a two bedroom townhouse. It was lovely and cosy and the little gifts of shortbread and crisps was a lovely touch.

Living room radiator was cold. Was a convection heater but room still on the cool side.
