Excellent location, near the centre but very quiet, a nice area. The house was very nicely decorated etc and very comfortable, the courtyard garden delightful.

Everything was lovely except the curtains and shutters in the bedrooms let in a lot of light . A small thing, but affected sleep.

Very well situated close to the centre but very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were all very lovely, especially the space at the back of the house which leads onto a beautiful little garden. It’s incredibly tranquil.

The cottage is lovely…..furnished to a high standard with all the extras you’d want to make you feel ‘at home’. Very well situated for all the main areas of the city There are even games provided which we used, thanks!

We only stayed 2 nights and we didn’t use the log burners as we had no wood……

Everything was spot on, just a short walk over the bridge to the centre. The house had everything you could wish for.

Fabulous property within 5 minutes walking distance to the centre of York. Very clean and comfortable, like home from home.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like about the property, but can I make one suggestion, that the owner leaves a few logs for the log fire.

Countryard Cottage was a lovely clean house in a perfect central location for visiting York. The host was very helpful and friendly. We loved our stay.
