The house was perfect for us. We were contacted by the property owners before we arrived giving us instructions and directions to the house. We were met on arrival and shown around the house along with the free WiFi and lockbox codes. there was also a small welcome pack of bread, water, coffee etc which was a nice touch. The house was very spacious if a little quirky in terms of the layout which suggested it was probably 2 houses converted into one with a central courtyard area which is now undercover - this assisted the natural light within the property which is not normally associated with Spanish townhouses. The house was set over 3 floors with the living space on the ground floor, bedrooms on the 1st and a seated patio area on the 3rd which opened onto a veranda with stunning views of the town and castle. There was also a sink and fridge in this area which made it ideal for small get together without the need to go up and down the stairs all the time - perfect for BBQ's. The beds were super comfy - best bed i have ever slept in apart from my own! The area was quiet so a good night's sleep was had even with the windows open and that is saying something as anyone who has stayed in Alora before will know the cockerels are very early risers! The house was immaculately clean and tidy and the shower was amazing. The WiFi was free and fast (which shut the kids up immediately) and the TV had Netflix pre-loaded. There were only local Spanish channels on the TV but that was not an issue. The couch was massive and comfortable. The location of the house was perfect - right in the middle of the town close to the main squares and several eating / drinking establishments within 2 minutes' walk. Very easy to find just off the main street. All in all we loved this house and many thanks to the owners for letting us have the pleasure of staying there. We will be back.

Nothing really - if i had to pick fault it would be that there is little to no on street parking (which didn't affect us as we were not driving) so you would park at your own peril. Plus it's on a rather steep hill with poor paving and road which could be an issue in bad weather. If you are not sure of foot or struggle to climb hills, then firstly why have you gone to Alora as it is built on the side of a mountain? and secondly this may not be the house for you. The door lock was also a bit tricky to operate (got easier with practice) and a 2nd key would be beneficial.
