Location was excellent Great having 2 bathrooms and showers Great utensils and cutlery, no wine or fizz glasses lol

It was very difficult to get the air con working and the bedroom downstairs feels very cold and quite damp Also nowhere to get the sun at this time of year, always had to go out Felt TV looked very unsafe and it was a fear always that could have been damaged

Absolutely beautiful apartment in the city of Alvor. Very comfortable and equipped with everything you might need. Good parking availability in the streets around the house.

We were there in the winter and it was very cold in the night - due to the open two story layout it was impossible to heat up the lower floor. There’s only one AC unit and the electric heater didn’t do much. Blankets are also super thin. On the plus side, I imagine the apartment can be kept cold during summer :) Some lack of attention to detail like pots that don’t work on the induction stove.

Comfortable, nice modern decor, very clean, good kitchen equipment (fridge, nespresso machine, small dishwasher, good sink etc). Excellent bathrooms (2) good size.

The only issue and its what drives the score of 8 instead of a 9+ is the local 'buddy"s bar' attracts late night stragglers and one night there was a couple of drunks making noise till 3 am . We stayed last year in patio and this bar was closed but seems to have re-opened this year and is creating noise at late hours of the night. (smaller note a few of the smaller pots are not compatible with induction hob, coffee plunger is broken )

The property is very close to the centre of Alvor, so excellent for walking out to one of the numerous restaurants in the evening. Overall, it was clean, comfortable and well presented, although in a minimalist style! We were there in September when it was pleasantly warm but not too hot, so we didn't use the plunge pool. In the middle of summer, it would probably have been very welcome.

Although we liked our stay at the property overall, we thought that there was a lack of attention to detail in some respects. The shower overflowed and when we investigated, it was clear that the removable outflow filter hadn't been cleaned for some time and was absolutely blocked. When my partner cleaned it, the shower was fine. When we arrived, we specifically asked if the saucepans provided worked on the induction hob and we were assured that they did. In fact, two of them were aluminium so they didn't! We thought the utensils and crockery were a little sparse. For example, there were no spatulas for frying, no tongs and no mugs for coffee. (We drank our coffee out of glasses). There was only one glass wine glass, although there were some plastic ones. These things didn't in any way mar our holiday but they should be put right!

The location is good for accessing the old town, with restaurants, cafes, a supermarket and taxi rank nearby The design of the apartment is great, with plenty of room for a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) The fixtures and fittings are generally of a high standard The little pool was great to cool down and chill out in the evenings The host staff were helpful when we had a problem and also with booking transfers

The apartment is close to a bar that opens until the early hours - on several nights we were kept awake by the noise in the street outside. The member of staff sent to check us in was late, in a rush and knew little about the apartment. We had to work things out for ourselves after she dashed off. There was no furniture for the terrace so we had to contact the agency to ask for some

This house is an absolute gem in the middle of Alvor. The decor is fantastic and it has everything you need for a short or long stay (washing machine, oven etc.) and great bathrooms with rainfall shower heads. The pool is a fantastic addition, and the outside areas are generous and comfortable. The location is ideal, right in the middle of Alvor, mere seconds walk from shops, bars and restaurants. Super quiet, super peaceful, it's honestly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. I'd live here if I could!

I can't fault anything really, except it would be good to add a french press/coffee maker for those who don't like coffee pods, but just an observation!
