Villa del Commendatore Sirugo

A wonderful authentic Italian summer villa with giant olive trees, almond trees, bougainvillea and oleanders, humming doves and chirping cicadas. The villa has a large swimming pool with sun beds. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available to take with you to the sea. In the sea, a sandy beach with a bar with reasonable prices . Not busy. Lazy people can enjoy the whole vacation in the villa, on the sea and in the nearby restaurants, but for travelers the perfect location in the middle between Catania/Etna/Syracuse and Noto/ Modica/Ragusa ibla. A good place to visit if you don’t like crowded places with tourists and more of the Italian real culture and way of living. A good place to travel with kids.

This villa and the owners are exceptional. The property is a 5 min walk from a beach, 5 min drive to supermarket and such a fantastic place. The villa is huge but cosy. The pool is amazing and the peaceful surroundings were exactly what we needed. Superb hosts, great communication. Was very impressed. Helps to have a car but you could use taxis.

Where do I begin? We LOVED our stay here. The villa is traditional and has managed to keep its original charm and character over the years, but it also benefited from many ‘mod cons’ to make our stay comfortable (washing machine, coffee machine, juicer, toaster maker, air con, etc). The pool outside is large and kept very clean. The grounds are also huge and great for children to run around in! The villa is located between two small towns and is within just a four minute walk to a sandy beach and a twenty minute drive of Syracuse. It is also perfectly located to reach Sicilian Baroque towns/cities such as Scicli, Ragusa and Modica.

It felt like we had stepped back in time to Ancient Rome. The pool, the view, the grounds, just amazing.

No handles on the outside of the balcony made it not user friendly and loud and rattley when closing them.

Villa del Commendatore is a wonderful place. We were very pleased with the stay. Everything we needed was there, the hosts were very helpful. Nice swimming pool where we rested in the evenings. The kids were delighted, they had a very large pool to themselves. Very nice garden around the buildings and swimming pool. Everything is very well and tastefully decorated. I highly recommend to everyone!

Beautiful large villa with very large garden offers a lot privacy. Whole house has a special spirit. I enjoyed every minute there. The owners are very kind and friendy. The food in pizzeria nearby is tasty

I was very satisfied, maybe I would appreciate more equipment in bathroom.
