"Beautiful hanok stay"

10.0

Our stay was absolutely perfect and one of the highlights of our time in Seoul. The owner contacted us in advance and provided many helpful recommendations, which made planning our trip much easier. Throughout our stay, Tony continued to share useful information and regularly checked in to see if we needed anything, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The hanok itself is beautiful, traditional and full of character, while also offering all the modern comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The peaceful courtyard garden at the center of the property created a wonderful sense of tranquility and was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The location is excellent, situated in a quiet residential neighborhood while still being close to many of Seoul’s main attractions, great restaurants, and convenient subway stations. It offered the perfect balance between experiencing local life and having easy access to everything the city has to offer. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, comfortable, and memorable stay in Seoul!

"Very cute interior and good ideas throughout the house but I think I’d prefer a bit more spacious place."

7.0

It’s located in a relatively quiet area. And I really like the fact that the whole house was for ourselves.

It’s quite small. I’d read lots of reviews prior to and so I expected it to be small but I felt it was smaller than I imagined. The ceiling was quite low since it’s an old traditional house, there’s no proper chairs to sit down. I mean there’s a table and chairs but you need to sit on the floor. I used outside Maru to feel more comfortable. Lastly the cleanness, the cleaning lady seems to ignore cobwebs, dust on corners and closet. They really can do some serious wipe down.

"Beautiful Home but"

8.0

If it is your first time travelling to Seoul I believe this is one of the most special stays you could ask for. The owner has built a beautiful home and has every amenity and facility you could ask for. We checked in late at 12am, and the moment we walked in it all sprung to life, which was a lovely entrance to our trip. The location is perfect since it is close to the palaces, bukchon village, insadong and other great spots. But also not crowded and busy like the more touristy locations. And finally, the Owner has great communication and provides guides and recommendations for everything you could ask for.

We went during summer and it was very humid and hot. So the airflow made it difficult to sleep some nights. We tried all the fans in the home and even the aircon (which was only in one side of the home), but all blew just air rather than anything cold or comfortable. The only additional thing is that it can be a bit cramped for more than 2 people, or if you're taller than 6 foot.

"Beautiful Space"

10.0

EVERYTHING. The most well thought out space I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. I did not want to leave once I got to this tranquil paradise. (So for 24 hours I didn't) It is close to EVERYTHING. The best 3 nights EVER

"Perfect!"

10.0

Viva La Vida is such a charming accomodation! It’s a beautifully decorated traditional hanok. It is very well located, in walking distance from many of the famous Seoul locations. It has a comfortable double bed, a traditional table, a kitchen and a shower. The highlight of the apartment is the garden, which gives a moment of piece. We loved just staying there and enjoying a cup of coffee. The apartment is well equipped: it has a washing machine, hair dryer and even a curling iron. The host is very kind!

Nothing! It’s not a negativity, but people has to bear in mind that the place is small due to the traditional setting.
