Kyo no oozora FUKA

We had a very pleasant stay for 10 nights at Fuka Yamabuki. There was a little problem with the code for the door, but we get help very fast. There is a lot of space at Yamabuki and we loved the atmosphere of a traditional machiya with modern advantages. Best room is for sure the bath, located in the garden behind the house sourrounded with plants like bamboo and maple and a little stonegarden. We also liked the traditional japanese room which is perfect for meditating and calm down. Kitchen has just one hot plate, but there is a rice cooker too and all equipment you need for some days. Metro Station Gojo is a 10 minutes walk away, Restaurants and Fresco are also nearby. Located quite in Kyotos central, we reached every spot easily.

If you search for a very quite place you should know, that this is one old house with two accommodations (Kikyo & Yamabuki), the walls are thin, you could hear the neighbors. Also there is a school in front of the house and children often playing there. Being said its still a quite place, those who search for silence could maybe disappointed.

The property is very clean from furnitures to all the facilities including kitchen utensils. The host was very responsive with all our questions posted in booking.com. We were having some problems with the bathtub, the host came to help us even though it’s after the office hour. The host was also caring enough to turn on the heater and our family were literally had a “warm welcome”😄 we are very grateful for the kind gesture .

Shower water pressure was weak. Apart from that , everything was perfect !

お庭は綺麗でした。

以前、系列の別の町屋に泊まりましたが、それに比べると今回の家は状態が悪くがっかりしました。値段もそれにしてはべらぼうに高いです。
