Excellent traditional Kyoto house setting and tradition. Good facilities to make the stay very comfortable. Well planned amenities so we have everything we needed for the stay.

Near the Kyoto Station. Traditional Japanese decor and ambience. Friendly staff.

Too much steps inside the house. It is a potential trip hazard. Perhaps putting warning sticker to warn the guests about the change in level or steps.

It has some rooms and slept separately. Spacious and the Japanese small garden

Futons were winter’s ones. It was very hot day so we need thinner ones.

Beautiful historical architecture

Everything was amazing about it we felt lucky to be there!

The place to pick up the keys was an easy walk to the main office from the kyoto train station and then they arranged a taxi to our place. We loved how easy they made it for us. They also provided a map and a QR code to the property in case we needed it during our stay (we didn't - it was super easy to find). The location is central kyoto so you can go in any direction to see the key sites (temples, shrines, shopping, museums, etc).

It wasn't a problem for us, but just as a heads up the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathrooms are downstairs so if you have kids or people who need to use the restroom at night, they will have to use the stairs. Another thing to note is the "wall" between the rooms is more of a thin board that doesn't go all the way to the top so noise and light will make it's way to the other room.
