"A Stay in Kyoto I'll Fondly Remember"

This machiya was better than the pictures! And the location was many times better than I had imagined. Really, quite a special place. The bathroom was great, fitted with a spacious shower and tub with a window into the garden. You can set and control the temperature of the tub water as well. Wonderful to return to after a day of walking. Living room peaceful and plenty big enough for our group of three. I slept in the Japanese style room on a futon which was wonderful. The meeting location prior to going to going to the machiya is very close to the station, from there the receptionists can help call a taxi.

The combo washer/dryer machines never really work for me when it comes to drying clothes. Better off air-drying them. Which is fine :) Just good to know in advance, because the dryer function on this machine is a bit loud and takes a bit of time, which you may not have

So close to Yasaka pagoda. The convenient and peaceful.

The dryer took a little too long and the socks kept getting stuck in between the door and opening

Memorable stay. The Machiya Inns and Hotel staff were so helpful and made our stay easy and comfortable. It was nice to see the Yasaka Pagoda area empty during early morning and late at night
