Very nice hosts. Cosy stay. Wish i can stay for longer. I love the bath tub the most - the ryokan has a woody smell and it feels relaxing every-time we reached home after a long day of walking.

The historic townhouse was just magical to stay and the location was ideal.

The Ryokan is so beautiful and passed down from generations. Together with the amazing hospitality from the family Muta it makes staying in Kyoto such a wonderful experience! I would really recommend the Japanese breakfast!

This place! These people! We had the most beautyful, comfortable, delicious and cozy stay here. The hosting family is really one of a kind, so generous, welcoming and caring. Making sure we had everything we needed and then some. And the house and garden are truly beautyful and relaxing. We could easily have stayed here much longer and I wish I could rate it much higher than 10. If you have the chance, stay at Jeugiya inn!

Staying at this ryokan was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we immediately felt at home. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, from helping with local recommendations to ensuring we had everything we needed during my stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and authentically Japanese —tatami mats, sliding doors, and a serene garden. If you’re looking for a place that combines traditional charm, heartfelt hospitality, and unforgettable breakfast, this ryokan is a must-stay.
