Largs Coastal Apartment

Very central.clean.

Flat was very cold when we arrived, and no clues about how to put on boiler. Tv and internet not working till 3rd day. Very poor communication from owner as to where to find help ....only downloaded , complicated manuals.

Location central for all amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed time spent there. Will be back🙂.

The beds were very uncomfortable never got good night sleep all week

The location was convenient for the shops and ferry terminal. Good bus and train connections. Lovely sunsets.

The foldaway bed did not have linens provided to go on it, but we made do with quilts and blankets.

It was lovely and clean and had easy to work items in the kitchen and it was good to have use of the washer dryer. Scotts playground is just around the corner and the children loved that there was a park so close. We parked up on the street for our whole stay and could walk everywhere as it is nice and central to Largs main tourist area. The Vikingar Centre is excellent with great swimming facilities. The Viking Experience they run is excellent too.

I made the booking through booking.com and the Pillowtalk took over the communication with me re the booking. The booking was made for 2 adults and 2 children. However, I feel that whoever Pillowtalk asked to get the apartment ready didn't know to expect the children. Extra towels and sheets hadn't been left for the children. The main issue was the pull out bed from the sofa in the living room. The 11 year old struggled sleeping on it as it does not pull out flat in to a flat bed but has quite a slope to it. It didn't appear to be broken so I am not sure if this is how it is meant to be! It certainly wouldn't fit two people as it was supposed to do. The 5 year old slept fine on the other 2 person sofa but anyone bigger wouldn't have fitted.

Good facilities with a well equipped kitchen. Close to local shops and sea front.
