Villa Marika

Villa Marika was spacious, and it was good to have two bathrooms. We loved the view from the terrace, it was amazing. The host was friendly, and the parking was good, in an open garage so the car was in the shade. It was just ten minutes to walk to the main square in Vathi. The owner, her daughter and the cleaning lady we met were all very nice and welcoming. Communication was good, with great direction and easy acess to the villa.

We were dissapointed with a few small things, we travel light an so always book accomodation with a washing machine, this was not accessible. I was asked to leave the washing in a big bowl providing by the cleaning lady, but we seemed to have a communication breakdown and it didnt get done. When she asked about the washing the next day I had done it all by hand as we needed it! The house is big but there is a lot of clutter, and some of the furniture is uncomfortable, some of the outdoor furniture was stained and broken. There was a jar with a few broken biscuits at the bottom and an empty honey jar just left in the kitchen. Nothing major but just lots of small things that that we felt needed addressing to give Villa Marika a high rating. The place could be lovely but needs a good sort out.

Great location, great communication with the host, clean, comfortable, good facilities, everything worked. Had use of the garage for parking. Great outdoor spaces overlooking the water. Location was 1 street back from the main road, so little noise. Walking distance to town. Lots of restaurant and bar choices. Vathy is a good town to use as a base for exploring. Thanks Nektarios - you were a pleasure to deal with.

Great position with fabulous views. Easy walking distance of beautiful coves and beaches, and the lively town of Vathy. Mostly level walking with some hills to more distant beaches. Lovely walking area. Stunning scenery. Quiet and peaceful. Villa Marika is a lovely, comfortable villa with a traditional and homely feel. It is well-equipped and ideal for a holiday with family or friends. It is situated in an ideal position, slightly elevated above sea level with far reaching sea, harbour and Mountain views. Lovely terraces on which to sit and enjoy watching the world go by. We have stayed here several times and intend to return several times!

Location was great, amazing views and close enough to the town to walk in easily, but not too close to be noisy. Convenient for beaches, restaurants, and shops. Host was amazing.

The location of the property was perfect. The terrace and the views from the apartment were stunning. The apartment was very spacious. We met the host who was very friendly and left us some honey and cookies to sample which were very nice. A very well equipped apartment.

There was nothing we didn’t like

We’ve stayed in Villa Marika several times and will continue to do so. It’s spacious, well equipped, lovely views, walking distance to shops, tavernas, restaurants, beautiful beaches etc. Wonderfully friendly helpful hosts.

Amazing view, comfortable place that instantly feels like home. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening and enjoying the view with a cup of coffee or or glass of wine :) having two bathrooms was perfect for me and my cousin to have our own space. Walk to the grocery store and main part of town was only about 5-10 minutes. Absolutely would look to stay here specifically again if coming back.

The side area of the outdoor space with the shade cover is for the unit below, but you have the main large area of the balcony which provides plenty of space and a large table. You also have the best part of the view :)
