Kānuka Cottage - Tranquil and relaxing

Delightful cottage.Well appointed ,very clean and spacious.Beautiful garden setting and very short drive to Akaroa itself.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. We were able to cook a great bbq and sit in the garden to enjoy it in the evening sun.

It was a cold night and the firewood was limited.

The gas hot water meant there was lots of ( almost instant) hot water. The four of us had a shower after sea kayaking and another before bed. It was great not to have to worry about running out of hot water.

Nice place, good location. Had a log burner, washing machine and access to a tumble dryer.

Unfortunately there was no milk supplied, the very least to have been supplied at all of our other stays in NZ. Apparently, they only supply powdered milk. We also had to wash/clean various items before we could use them. We did advise the vendor. Disappointingly, we had been back in the UK for 2 days before receiving a response.

Private and quiet. Lovely setting and pleasant walking along the track to get to the village.

Found the mattress to be rather soft. A suggestion would be hooks behind the bathroom door for hanging clothes.

The cottage is in beautiful grounds and private. Had everything we needed and we highly recommend.

Bed was uncomfortable Needed a good tidy up outside, cobwebs galore, no clothes drying rack, kettle needs to be replaced
