The kitchen and location were nice.

The accommodation had a musty odor and the windows did not allow for enough air circulation. We did not feel comfortable staying at the accommodation so left a few hours after arrival.

Kitchen and bathroom were adequate with all necessary attributes

Low ceilings and a lot of steps - from bedroom to hall, from hall to lounge and from lounge to kitchen. The dining chairs although attractive were very uncomfortable.

Great location and the clue is in the name. Rod and Vera really helpful and the cottage a great base to explore Alston and area. Everything we needed- even a bit of evening sun to sit in
