The stairs on the way to the house is the only problem

Ihana perinteinen talo erinomaisella sijainnilla. Meitä oli kuuden hengen porukka ja tilaa oli juuri sopivasti. Talossa oli kaikki mukavuudet ja se oli kauniisti sisustettu. Kommunikaatio sujui hyvin ja nopeasti.

Amazing house that provides Japanese traditional experience with modern households set up. It has beautiful details in all rooms. We also find the traditional floor bed very comfortable. Great location with shops and restaurants with mins of walk distance.

The host already warned us about the Google map address not accurate, make sure you pass this onto the taxi drivers as well. There are some steps but kyoto overall is quite hilly so it didn't bother us.

Such a fun and unique home, nestled in a neighborhood and convenient to major sites and easy bus transportation. Lots of space for our group of 6. Restaurants nearby, convenient to reach the station, peaceful rest at the end of our busy days.

En fait, je pourrais écrire un roman sur cette maison tellement elle m'a inspirée. Elle est exceptionnelle, en parfaite adéquation avec un séjour à Kyoto. On rentre dans une maison préchauffée, déjà, très appréciable en hiver. Et après c'est comme si on se sent à la maison, mais en mieux. Le confort, la décoration recherchée et précieuse, de style japonais ( j'ai dormi avec un Samurai), la modernité (sanitaires, climatisation), et tout ce que l'on a besoin...on pourrait pas trouver mieux, on a tous adoré! L'emplacement est aussi exceptionnel car très proche du quartier Gion et ses rues piétonnes. Un grand merci à Akiko pour sa gentillesse, merci pour les café et thé, ça a été un plaisir à communiquer avec vous.

Juste un conseil si vous arrivez en taxi, donnez l'adresse de la trattoria Annamaria, c'est à côté et plus facile à trouver.

Stairs to go up to 2nd floor are too steep and a bit scary for kids

Beautiful home with a feeling of history, culture and art; comfortable, great location, wonderful hosts. Will definitely book again next time we are in Kyoto! Especially appreciated the soaking tub at the end of the day after walking for miles! Absolutely perfect for us in every way.

How traditional it was, it was clean , facilities great for 8 adults, we loved how comfortable the bedrooms where. Everything worked, heating , showers, washing machine. The location is great, a little out of the way from restaurants, but they are only a good walk away.

Getting to the property, required a walk down a steep bank and steps, access would be unsuitable for for anyone with any mobility issues, I believe this should be pointed out on booking.
