"Comfortable accommodation in a restful location"

9.0

We were looking for a cottage in a peaceful location with great views, and Ty Cerrig Barn certainly lived up to our expectations. It was particularly wonderful to sit in the 'mountain view' living room and watch the light change on the hillside at different times of day. If you can, I would recommend hiring the whole 4-bed house. If you hire it as a 3-bed, you will not have access to the living room with the view (which could be very frustrating!)

Our stay was close to the end of the peak season, so it was perhaps to be expected that some of the kitchen equipment would be a little 'tired', e.g. some of the baking trays. However, this is a minor criticism in what was generally a well-equipped and comfortable barn conversion. Thank you Alison and Dan.

The barn was stunning with everything that you would need ,supplied. The owner was very friendly and on hand if we needed her.

The drive leading up to barn was very steep but worth the drive up.

"It was worst stay ever in our life."

3.0

The property itself was very nice, the room were very spacious. The view was really amazing as-well. However we did not felt like we were in a vacation.

There was no water supply when we arrived to the property until the next mid day . However we were happy to adjust, since we were more then 8 people which was our fault we should have informed in advance. We agreed to pay for the extra people as well, however there was no water supply so the host told us no need to pay for the extra people at first . They did provide us drinking water. However, when we went out the next day we got the text from host that the water was fixed so we had to pay the extra amount, we were happy to pay for it.. When we came back to the property we noticed that host came into the the house when we went out without informing us.The host should have at-least informed us about it even if it was to fixed the water cause we did pay to stay there and on top of that she locked one of the room door. She also accused us of breaking of the chair which was already broken when we arrived to the property. We accept that it was also our fault at some point that we removed the paintings and hanged some balloons to take picture which we completely forgot that we were not allowed to do that. When we went to approach her about the locked room she responded to us in a very rude way . She even used F word to us in front of our 2 and 8 years old child, which was very inappropriate. The host shouted us that we can pay the rest amount and stay for 2 nights then fu*kk off. Which we did pay for it cause it was already 11pm and we had kids with us and we travelled from very far so there was no way for us to leave that property and go somewhere else.If she had respond to us in a calm and appropriate way things would not have gotten this far. ā€œShe treated us like we were staying there for freeā€.We are not sure why she responded us in that way maybe she misunderstood, it would have been better for both of us if she had communicate with us in a proper way rather than getting angry and respond in a rude way.
