Good location really close to amenities and the river! Loved walking and going to restaurants by the river. About a 10min walk to the cathedral and city centre. We found the house tidy and spacious enough for 4 people.

We found the spring beds very uncomfortable. Mattresses definately need upgrading as they sink in the middle. Did not have a great sleep but luckily only there for 2 nights.

Very comfortable and well placed for town centre.

The bin was overflowing in the garden with hundreds of maggots pouring out. The garden shed was filled with plastic bags of household waste going back weeks if not months. The stench from the rotting waste in the shed and overflowing outside bin made sitting out in the garden almost impossible. I’m amazed we didn’t see rats - it won’t be long. The owners need to sort this out.

"Very responsive hosts, great location, clean house as described. If you have cars budget for parking"

7.0

Location was great for central Exeter inc Quays. Enough room for 4 adults and 2 children.

Parking locally is expensive - suggested car park is less than 10 mins walk away but £18 per day. Lots of parking restrictions in surrounding roads with lots of enforcement. Sofa bed ok for children but not adults.

Absolutely awful. The lock inside the property had broken and locked from the inside out. We were unable to get into the property for the second night, and we’re stuck outside in the freezing cold. When trying to call the property, it went straight to answer phone each time, when they should always be available for issues like this one. We had to wait until 10 in the morning for a locksmith to come and get us back in, and when requesting a refund for only the SECOND night, they refused and told booking.com that there were no problems with the stay, which is obviously very far from the truth. I wouldn’t have written this review if the owners had actually been professional and given us the refund that we obviously should have had. Disappointing.

"Great little place"

9.0

Really well situated. Nice quiet Victorian suburb of Exeter with its own cool high street (Magdalen Rd, lots of cafes/bars/restaurants etc)) but still a really easy (and pleasant) walk into city centre with ten minutes.

Parking situation isn’t ideal but big long stay car park only about ten minutes walk away. Not a major issue at all.
