Carnoustie 24 - Turnberry Holiday Park - short walk to beach

We loved the caravan itself and the view as well. We were overlooking the farm which had the October festivities running during our stay too, which we did visit. We drove and parked closer to the beach as it was windy and our kids had been walking around a lot of the day. The beach was quiet with lots of sea birds and exploring to do. The shower was great and the caravan warmed up quickly in the morning. We didn't expect WiFi but the password was provided and it helped entertain the kids during down time we had in the caravan. In the kitchen there are enough utensils etc to cook dinner in the caravan, which we did one night of our stay. Our kids have ice lollies wherever they go and there was a spacious fridge freezer as well to keep these. The host was exceptional and gave loads of info on things to do during our stay, where to eat etc. Overall definitely somewhere we would visit again.

In the evening we like to head to bed earlier (11ish) and there was noise outside (barking dogs, people walking by chatting, car doors being closed- nothing outrageous) which disturbed our sleep both nights, although the kids in the twin were fine. The shop on site was closed so the nearest was a 10 minute drive and there isn't a park or play area on site for the kids (that we could see). We didn't see any play parks on our drives in the area although there could be one we are unaware of.

This property exceeded our expectations and met all five of our top requirements; Quiet, Cleanliness, Comfort, Location, and View—all of which are fantastic! The space is quiet, impeccably clean, and the bed is very comfortable. We had everything necessary for cooking simple meals and maintaining the area during our stay. The host, Heather, is excellent and communicates very quickly. The morning sounds of birds and cattle were incredibly relaxing. We particularly enjoyed the fantastic view of Ailsa Craig (which we nicknamed 'The Cupcake'), especially when the morning cloud capped the summit, completing the 'cupcake' illusion. We stayed in the third week of October and were thrilled to watch the sun set directly outside our balcony. We left the place almost exactly as we found it. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning again.

The caravan was lovely, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and had everything I needed. The view from the patio doors was incredible, and the holiday park was very peaceful. I booked last minute and contact from the host, with all the information I needed, was very quick. I would highly recommend this place.

Nothing, it was perfect for me.

Lovely clean, spacious caravan, had everything that we needed. Very comfy bed & good sized shower. Plenty hot water. Very close to the restaurant, bar & entertainment. We enjoyed a lovely meal on-site & the entertainment on the Saturday evening was good as well. Great wi-fi. This was very important to us but had no issues.

Excellent location of the caravan. Sea view. Heather is a very nice host. I really liked her place. Will be planning to visit again.

Too close to other vans, lacking privacy. Glasses left with lipstick on in the cupboard Constant infestations of wasps from nearby bins Felt unable to relax properly from the long list of rules set out in writing for your stay Although a nice caravan. I wouldn’t class it as luxury.
