Isaac's Cottage

Perfect location for exploring nearby places of interest. The village has a great butchers, co-op store, 2 pubs, coffee shop and more. This is my second visit this year and I love it. The cottage has everything you need, is warm and comfortable. The water pressure for having a shower is fantastic and the central heating is easy to adjust the temperature of.

The cooking pans are not the best quality, but adequate. The TV is really quite small, which didn't bother me so much as I don't really bother with TV, but it may bother some people. There is a large planter on the front, making it difficult to park if next door is also parked on their front. These are only minor issues and would not put me off staying again.

Lovely home in a quiet location with parking and it was clean. It has a cottage feel but has a lot of space, both bedrooms are big and it has a nice big modern shower with a rainfall showerhead. Great value for money.

The boiler was on constantly even when the thermostat was set to 10 degrees and you couldn't turn it off as you needed a code. The noise of the boiler was loud especially through the night, as it is directly below one of the bedrooms it did keep us awake. It is out of the way from any restaurants, the only place to get food near the property is a pub which only serves food during a certain time, the closest restaurants are in Hexham.

Very clean, location excellent

Stools at breakfast bar not comfortable, especially for the older clientele. Could be more storage space for food etc. Some of the storage space occupied by tins of paint.,

Gorgeous property, spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious. Lovely village.

If I had to split hairs- another lamp would be useful in lounge. Lamp in ‘nook’ was barely illuminated.

Location, layout, furnishings, good internet (if lifted router out of the cupboard)

Shower was very slippery and did not have any grab rails so we could not use it. Stairs were steep and only had rail on one side which could not be held towards the top because touching the wall. Poor oven gloves.

Right in the center of Allendale. Lovely cosy clean well maintained cottage. Would highly recommend and I would not hesitate to book again ❤️

Very clean and cosy had everything we needed. We will definitely go here again. It was in a great location with shops bars and cafes within walking distance.

We couldn't turn the heating up as there was a lock on the heating and it was quiet cold downstairs. Only thing that let us down.

The stair banister could have been better positioned, it couldn't be held on the upper half of the stair

This was an absolutely beautiful cottage to stay in just like home from home. Amenities were outstanding and great value for a break in Allendale village. Parking outside the property was a big plus

Being an elderly couple with some disabilities we both found the steps a bit challenging but also good exercise for us.
