The location was perfect for us, nice, warm, cosy, and very quiet (might be due to bank holiday). The property had all that we needed. The coffee machine is a Tassimo! For those that need to know.

Erm?? being really picky with this. Slight creeky bedroom door. One day was overcast! I would have put the bins where the logs were. In all seriousness, nothing bothered us.

"Stop off for Family Wedding"

7.0

We stopped off here after a week away in Scotland for a family wedding before heading back home to Kent. The bathroom and kitchen were fantastic. Such a beautiful cottage, would stay again.

The main bed was two singles placed together. No fans in the rooms for hot weather we had on our last two nights. We were melting.

"Comfortable Cottage in Stunning Area"

8.0

Lovely area. Lots to see. Comfortable, country cottage home from home.

The cottage was on what appeared to be a rat run and traffic was heavy and noisy.

"A comfortable property with old world, charm and modern conveniences."

8.0

An extremely cozy well appointed cottage with lots of space inside and a friendly pub within walking distance. The bathtub was glorious! The hosts left us milk in the fridge for tea, which was such a thoughtful gesture as well as treats for us upon arrival, including wine, and lovely snacks. They were also extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay.

Nothing that we disliked.

This cottage was lovely! Really spacious! The log fires made it very cosy. There were lots of little extras left by the owners, such as kitchen essentials, which you just wouldn't find in other properties. The enclosed garden was really useful with a little dog. The owners provided a really easy check in and check out, so that we could let ourselves in & out and all of the necessary information, with fast responses. Everything was clean and it felt like a home from home.

There is not much in higham. However, it is a great base to explore the local towns in the peak district with a car. And with that considered, it was still great value!

"Homely, Comfy Cottage"

9.0

Great view from bathroom window. As it was Christmas the back gardens had pretty lights so looked amazing. Location was perfect for our needs. Comfy lounge seating for four. Large kitchen and well stocked with crockery etc. Toilet downstairs as well as upstairs. Bedrooms a good size and very comfortable. Good stock of wood for the fire.

Could do with more saucepans and a frying pan. Beautiful cooker, but didn't have the pans to use it. Parking is on the main road outside.
