Pathways Cottage

Great location to explore the Peak District and the beautiful countryside around Higham. Comfortable, cosy cottage that exceeded our expectations and was a pleasure to return to each evening. The welcome gift of flowers, wine and crisps for the humans and treats for our doggie companion was a lovely gesture and made us smile from the start. We would certainly stay here again.

The start of the entirety of the building from the outside to the inner it just felt like stepping back in time with a bit of a modern twist there was everything and more for an excellent stay even though I had to cut short because of a family emergency shall I’ll definitely visit again

We had the pleasure of staying in a charming, historic cottage just 25-40 minutes' drive to Nottingham City along a beautiful scenic route—perfect for us! From the moment we arrived, we felt that Pathways Cottage was filled with rich history and stories. It is well maintained, a blend of old-world charm and cozy comfort. I very much love the fireplace in the living room. Sam and John make us feel welcome. Their thoughtful gesture of leaving goodies on the table upon our arrival truly set the tone for a wonderful stay. Communicating with them was easy throughout our stay. We loved our time here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway near/in Nottingham. Thank you for messaging me that you appreciated our outdoor chairs and cooking herbs. We hope your next guest enjoys them as much as we do.

Beautiful cottage! Lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. Nice welcome pack on arrival ( crisps, cookies, Prosecco! And milk! ) Friendly and welcoming hosts!

Nothing bad about the property - location was in a lovely setting road was a bit noisy in mornings but we stayed during week so understandable and it’s on a main road.

We loved the location, as we were near to family and friends. The cottage had everything we needed for it to be a home away from home.

Nothing, we couldn’t fault it.

Good facilities, Warm cottage, comfortable beds, large bathroom with power shower, v fluffy towels and a great location to explore the Peak District or just walk from the cottage. (Large smart TV) It really is a home from home….

The cottage is cosy and very charming, beautiful and all that we needed was well organised. We were impressed and spent the best family time. Magic place! 🥰
