Grosmont Cottage, Ruswarp

Beds were super comfy, my son wanted to bring his home with him! The location is perfect lovely and quiet and a super view across to Whitby Abbey.only a 5 minute drive to the park and ride into Whitby and loads of lovely scenic walks if you like that sort of thing.

Water pressure is not great so the shower was a little on the slow side, you also need to be over 6 ft tall to open the window in the kitchen as the window sills are huge I had to stand on tip toe to reach and I'm 6ft 2" but that's about it as long as it's clean and comfortable that's all I'm worried about 👍

There were very few TV channels, better mirror placement in bathroom required

Only thing that let our stay down we didn’t have our own little outside space ,small seating area facing fields would have been an ideal spot to relax in the sun & watch the owls etc

Comfy beds, quite location, plenty of parking. 2 great pubs within walking distance. A very relaxing break

Little bit tricky to find

Great little cottage in a location just a 10 minute drive into Whitby with an easy bus route that we chose to take. Great view of the Abbey from the property and there was plenty wildlife to catch a glimpse of away from a busy town centre.

The Wi-Fi was not great at all - easy to connect to but the quality of connection barely saw us through a netflix episode or two with just the TV connected and no other devices. But this is fine if you aren't worried about staying connected via WiFi...Mobile phone data is just fine when at the property.

The cottage is really nice and very well equipped with everything you need. The standard of cleanliness was very good and beds were so comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful but ideally placed for exploring areas such as Robins' Hood Bay and Whitby which are close by.

It was initally difficult to locate the cottage until I double checked the e mail I had been sent as this confirms that the satnav co-ordinates are not reliable and provides directions, which once used took us straight there. For us whilst the cottage is set in a lovely peaceful location the path to the main road is unlit so a car was required in the evening to go out to eat. That was only a small negative in what was a very enjoyable stay.
