Shellbraes Holiday Rental

We had such a lovely stay at Shellbraes farmhouse —it was the perfect venue for our hen do. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with plenty of space for a group to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the countryside. The cottage itself is full of character, clean, and really well equipped, which made everything easy for our stay. It was easy to find and has good parking for multiple cars. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and having multiple fridge/freezers was a great help! We enjoyed using the fire in the evening. The beds were comfortable and enjoyed the space that had been well thought out. Was as pictures show. We did run into an issue while we were there, but the host was very responsive, doing everything they could to sort it out. When it couldn’t be fully resolved during our stay, they were very fair and compensated us, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic time and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The combination of a great location, a charming property, and such attentive hosts made it a memorable trip. We’d definitely recommend it—especially for group stays! Look forward to booking again!

They had an issue with the heating/hot water whilst we were staying but they were very responsive in trying to sort. When it couldn’t be resolved they compensated fairly.

Excellent property had everything we needed and more. My grandson loved playing with the train track was great that little ones had toys there. Very quiet location which is what we love. The whole family had a fantastic time. We booked it for my father’s 80th birthday. So was perfect accommodation for all of us.

Couple of little snags. No blind in the bathroom of the master suite. Not over looked by anyone so not a great issue but would be nice to have. The boiler was quite loud in the master suite early on a morning and the latch on the twin bedroom could do with being looked at did not shut properly. A little tool kit with couple screwdrivers would also be a good addition to the property.

We loved this property! We all wanted to stay for longer. The property, the setting and the views are amazing. The only downside was my 90 year old mum struggled with the stairs, but that's obviously not a slight on the property itself! We will definitely be back or use one of their other properties!

Located in a very lovely, quiet area. Spacious and well-appointed with everything needed for a great family stay.

There doesn’t appear to be any heating in the kitchen area so it can be a bit chilly in there if the oven’s not been on.

Fabulous location, amazing views, the house felt more like an home than an holiday rental and the company managing the property were incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with.

Lovely comfortable farmhouse with great facilities. We all said that we wished we had booked for longer.

Fantastic, very well equipped property. Perfect for get together with friends. Brilliant facilities for whole family and plenty for young children to occupy themselves.
