Unique, cosy, Lake District artist hideaway - 5 bd

Good location for the purposes of my work, and easy to find and park in the street adjacent. Nice and easy key collection from the safety box as i arrived late, and easy to check out. The bed was very comfortable. I also liked the book case to have a nosy at.

It was noisy from the neighbouring houses, particularly at number 3 which sounded like they were having a party on Monday night until late which kept me awake. I think this is partially to do with the floor jsut being floorboards with some holes present so easy for sound to travel through. I imagine it would be cold in the winter. Some of the utensils next to the hob were a little dirty and there was a smell in the house that seemed to be air freshners trying to cover up smoke and dog smell.

The bed linen was exceptional quality the kitchen well stocked and everything was clean .The cottage is in a good position for the Lake District and the coast .We had a six year old with us and around 200 yards away around the corner was a fantastic playground with five areas to cater for all ages it was excellent.

Unfortunately and it is totally no reflection on the owner of the property twice in our stay between 2 and 3am there was a domestic dispute next door number 3 I think which was very loud with a lot of bad language quite unsettling but as I said out of the control of the owner of the cottage .

Everything... Everything about the property was perfect... detailed instructions about everything...the ambience was accurate as the description...well equipped with all amenities mentioned...perfect location in the heart of beautiful landscapes yet close to all facilities eg petrol station, tesco, town centre and THE beach....Loved it!!!

Check-in time could be more flexible, but anyways, we managed.

Just could not get to grips with the oven as the symbols for the hob had rubbed off took me a while to get the hob to temperature 🤒

The fridge seemed to be running too cold, salad vegetables in the salad drawer froze solid. I couldn't see any obvious way to adjust the temperature.

Just next to the road so need to be careful when going out specially with kids-not very busy but still, parking may be a struggle as the streets around are packed by residents, indoors bit outdated, wi fi modem just right next to the door on the small table to easy to knock down.
