Harlosh Hideaways - Aurora Pod

The pod was so clean and charming. Everything you need is accounted for. The bed was very comfortable and the hosts were just a text away if you needed anything. I stayed in Scotland for 2 weeks and this was my favorite accommodation.

Caramel Shortbread left by the hosts was a very nice touch, Pod was clean and cosy and the view over the loch was brilliant

This was absolutely perfect in a beautiful and peaceful location out in the middle of nowhere but yet about 10 mins from a fuel station, small grocery store and places to eat and Dunvegan Castle. There are only 2 pods so you know it's going to be quiet and they are right by the sea. The pod was absolutely spotless with everything I needed for my weeks stay. A comfy sofa and bed. A great bathroom with a good shower. A small kitchen, tv, table and chairs. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

There was absolutely nothing I liked. It was all perfect.

Everything about this place is fantastic. The pod is new and spotless. Facilities are all straightforward and easy to use. Comfortable, cozy bed. The area around the pod is spacious and parking is easy. The view from the door is an amazing view of the bay/fjord. Could have easily stayed for a week and would have loved it just as much.

Nothing. Just be sure to have a rental car if visiting Skye ;)

Harlosh Hideaways - Aurora Pod. Our 3 night stay the last week of August 2023 was nothing short of spectacular!! The hosts were the best. Shirley & Kevin live on a 300+ year old house on the property. They take great pride in all. From their house to these two ‘pod style’ tiny homes. Everything is immaculate. Shirley has thought of everything. And we know a ‘GREAT’ stay as we are in our 6th year of full time world travelers (yes we are retired). Total Nomads so an amazing stay such as this is very welcomed!! The kitchen is fully stocked to be able to cook entire meals. Just stop at the market on your way and everything is ready to go in a functioning kitchen. Nice kettle and coffee maker with teas and coffee supplied too. And what an amazing goodie basket to greet us! All local tummies to get us hooked on Scottish treats. The bathroom was large with lots of hot water. Soft towels and amazing soaps and lotion. Like spa quality!! And oh the bed! Nice linens and so comfortable. Extra throw blankets too. The unit is heated with floor radiate heat. So cosy. There’s games, books, tv. WiFi is strong. Outdoor seating. Beautiful garden /yard. And the view!! Right out to the loch! Hiking the ‘Old Man of Storr’ is a must. As is seeing all the sights near by and Portree for a ‘town & shopping’ visit. Parking is in the yard. Safe and secure. Easy drive. We rented a car in Edinburgh and very much enjoyed the travels to Harlosh Hideaways. I know you will too!!!

Very cozy with upscale furnishings. Stunning view when the weather allows. Detailed descriptions of possible sights. Generous welcome basket with treats. Extremely clean.

No baking oven, water pressure in the shower could be higher.

Harlosh Hideaways was idyllic. Peaceful, private and comfortable, it was a great base for exploring all that Skye has to offer.
