Monawilline Cottage

The cottage was much bigger than it looks in the photos. Very well decorated and furnished, with everything we could need. It is in a good location - an easy walk from everything in Lamlash.

The only negatives were that the bedroom has a low ceiling and the bathroom is downstairs but both were lovely rooms.

Lovely restoration of an old cottage. Great to have a utility room with pulley for wet clothes, washing, boots etc

The low bedroom ceilings took a bit of getting used to, but fidn’t spoil our stay. Not keen on the Highland cows, sorry!

Absolutely lovely location with parking on site. The host had given us directions and explained where the keys would be. It was a lovely house with a decent sized garden but sadly not the weather to make use of it.

I don't think we disliked anything but the staircase was quite steep.

A beautiful cottage located in a quiet seaside village. The cottage is clean and nicely decorated and felt like home as soon as we walked in. Would definitely stay again.

Comfort & location, easy communication with the hosts.

The village of Lamlash sits on a beautiful bay overlooking the Holy Island. There are good cafes, restaurants and pubs and a friendly vibe. Nearby are excellent walking trails as well as good shops and access to the whole of the island. Monawilline Cottage is like a beautiful tardis. It has everything you need and is excellently proportioned and decorated with very comfortable beds.

Excellent communication with the owner, cottage had everything we needed, great location.
