Very comfortable apartment with amazing views across the port and also of the mountains. Didn't meet the owner but he was very responsive to texts and queries. Lovely peaceful place to stay in May as I think we were a little ahead of the busy season.

"Wonderful location. But unprofessional host, and some small disappointments."

Location is superb. Interior is nice. Views are stupendous.

Host failed to keep appointment for our arrival. (Confirmed just the day before.) Instead sent an assistant 45 minutes later, to another location, with no explanation or apology. (Yes, we arrived early, but I'm talking about the later AGREED arrival time.) "Hot water" service never worked fully. After about 5 minutes it was warm, but it never got hot. Gate to the street was kept unlocked and wide open. So strangers could have entered the garden and reached our room door. The bedroom light was a bare bulb - no shade.

The apartment was stunning with the most picturesque outlook of the Port. We enjoyed the bottle of red wine left for us made by Antonio the owner, that was a lovely touch. The apartment was so clean and spacious, I would have loved to stay for longer. The old town of Maratea was about 5km drive from the apartment and was just adorable. We loved everything about our stay.
