the freezer needed defrosting - the door was unable to close which meant the fridge was full of water all the time. The front door was difficult both to close and open. The property was a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures. My son complained that his single bed really made his back hurt.

It was very convenient to the old town, supermarkets and opportunities for food and drink. The accommodation was warm, even in December, and the main room was a good size - enough room for us to watch TV whilst my grandson played. The bathroom is spacious. A nice touch was that a loaf of bread and eggs were left for us, and a box of cookies was delivered for us. The instruction booklet made everything very clear.

It would be nice to have a mirror in the bedrooms. It was a bit of a squeeze round the double bed.

A superb property, full to the brim with home comforts, stylish decor and an amazing shower. The location is perfect - right in the centre of the beautiful Old Town and with parking!

The hosts are great, the instructions on how to get to the house and how everything works are very clear. There was a nice care package waiting with fresh eggs, milk, bread and some cookies so that was absolutely lovely. The decorations are very nicely done and the interior downstairs looks stylish. Location is also good as it's right in the old town with easy access to shops, restaurants and the beach by foot.

We usually have really good experiences when renting a place with such high rating. This one was a hit and miss unfortunately. I'll say first that effort was put in the place and they made the best out of what they had to work with (minus one thing that can definitely be done better). It's also a very nice location for couples or people alone looking to be really in the center of Margate. Firstly, the parking. There's a private parking spot however it's very tiny and difficult to get in properly. It's not tiny in the sense that there's not enough space or it's closed in, but it's on a road/next to parking spots of the neighbors and therefore you have to park all the way next to the flower beds. This is fine if you have a small car, but for big cars (long cars particularly) this is really tricky and it took us each time 4/5 times going back-and-forth to get in, and the same to get out, without scratching the car in the process. It was very tight and was not comfortable with it at all. In addition this blocked the neighbors right next door who had a small passage right behind the parking spot (we had no choice, either them or the rest of the neighborhood) who were obviously annoyed and passed behind the car in such a way that if they had anything sharp, it would've made a scratch easily. We also got blocked in twice by other neighbors so couldn't get the car out, including on the day we were leaving. Needless to say we will not try that again. Secondly, the beds. They are not comfy by any means. I was honestly surprised to read this from others as instead of a normal spiral one of the single beds had a plank at the bottom because it was broken! For this price I would've expected proper beds that were not broken, we wouldn't sink into (not broken but way too old) or that were too hard. The double bed is OK but those two single beds need to be replaced.

Located right in the centre of the old town allowing access to the best an very interesting parts of the area.

Not a criticism of our rental but going midweek out of season means fewer places are open - but the local fish and chips came to the rescue.
