Perfect location for a stay in Margate with many of the best bars, pubs and restaurants right on the doorstep. The property is a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed a few evenings in after the kids were asleep. The host was friendly and helpful with great communication throughout our stay. I would recommend the barrel store to anyone wanting to stay in Margate and we’re already looking forward to coming back again.

The best thing about the property was it's location. Right in the centre of the old town as I wanted. The property was comfortable for 2 friends for a short break. Walk to everything and parking included which was a real bonus. Also good communication from the owner. Heating thermostat easy to set. Nice wallpaper in bedrooms.

Shower instructions a bit confusing. TV - found this difficult to operate, despite following instructions. The downstairs room was a little on the cool side. Garden - more of a courtyard. Not great; not a pretty space. Could do with a tidy up. Might be nicer in the summer.

Awesome location, so close to everything in Margate. The communication from the owner prior to the visit was good. Everything needed for a getaway needed here- cooking facilities, comfy beds and a warm cottage.
