Knockalt Cottage

Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Really good size property for the 6 of us and the location was great too. Mary and Gerard were great, perfect hosts, left bread, milk and eggs which was great. They were right next door if we needed anything and responded to messages extremely quickly.

Bit hard to find the property for check-in but otherwise nothing to dislike

We went to Ireland to search for our family tree, Gerrard and Mary were fabulous hosts. The house catered for everything we needed and was home from home. It's a very short drive into the main town, which made it feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere with the calm and quietness yet still so near to lots of lovely nearby places. We loved every minute and can't wait to go back again soon.

The scenery is stunning, very peaceful. The cottage is very clean and is nice and bright and had everything you needed. I would recommend this place.

We had two small young dogs with us we couldn't let run free as there is a sheep with a lamp at the back, they were fenced but didn't stop the dogs going into the pen, needs to be more shut off.

We struggled with mirror availability with 5 females in the group getting ready for a wedding

Views are amazing. House really comfortable & spotlessly clean. Huge shower in main bathroom. Peat provided for the open fires - was so cosy at nights. It was so peaceful. Was fantastic to be able to bring our wee dog.

The smell of oil from the heating boiler in the kitchen 🥺 I can't stand the smell of diesel & oil etc so I found the smell very overpowering - even with the window left open.

properly was very spacious and was extremely close to Moville village. you were left with fresh bread,eggs and milk plus buckets of peat for the fire and fresh towels for the bathroom if you needed them…lush!
