Kuranui Cottage

We loved the decor and the homely feel to the property. It was a nice kitchen to cook in and a large table to eat at.

Nothing we didn’t like but some beach towels at the property would be good for use in the hot tub or at the beach .

A faultless experience. This cottage is an exquisite home away from home, with an excellent location. It's just far enough out of town to get a nice beach view with a park across the road and easy access to the coastal walkway, but also close enough to town that an easy 5 to 10 minute walk has you on the main street of Thames. Super clean, beautifully restored and presented; modern features, but with an old-world charm, and far more spacious than you might think for a small cottage.

The items for breakfast were all good.

The cottage was right on the highway Lots of car traffic and very noisey

Excellent value, beautifully restored cottage. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen and full laundry facilities. Nice view out over the bay, and a short walk (10-15 minutes) into the town.

Very beautifully renovated heritage home, complete with two bathrooms and two bedrooms. Fully equipped, and everything in perfect working order. Great communication by the owner from start to finish.

Only one thing: it is located on a major road, with a corner maybe 50m to the north. To get to the park, one needs to cross this road. Most drivers drive slowly and with consideration, but not all. Crossing wasn’t a problem for our party, but my mom could likely not safely cross in time.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Amazing view. Quick communication. Lots of homely touches.
