Kuranui Cottage

Beautiful, comfortable cottage with tons of charm. Lovely view. Great spa pool.

A bit too noisy for me despite the double-glazing because of the location right on a main road. This may not worry other people though. However, the charm of the cottage far outweighs this one negative and I would highly recommend a stay here..

Beautifully presented, so damn cute. I loved the little touches throughout the cottage. Check in was easy. the kitchen has everything needed, and cupboards full of basics, which was helpful when forgetting items at PaknSave. Cottage is warm during winter, perfect location with a beautiful view of the sea, which btw is the best place to view sunsets. Highly recommend.

A comfortable and welcoming place which makes you feel like coming home from the first moment on. Nicely funished and warm interior, equipped with almost more than you can make use of during a 2 nights' stay.

The main road which separates the cottage from the beach can be noisy during day time - but you do not travel all the way to NZ to sit in a cottage during the day, do you? The main thing was: During the night it's pretty quiet. Since we are a tall grown family, putting your legs under the dinner table was a bit of a challange - we simply put a number of coasters under the table legs and all was good.

This cottage is so cute and in such a perfect location! We loved our stay there. Linda was really helpful with offering some suggestions for things to do and places to eat.

Great location and gorgeous cottage. Loved the breakfast, and the spa and deep bath were delightful. Parking was easy to access and I really appreciated the comfy bed after a long drive!

The location is wonderful. I liked looking over to the beach. It was a handy walk into town as well. I loved the old images of Thames on the walls and artefacts from the original cottage before renovation. Very clean and loved the “old time” elements such as the bed pan and old iron.

My mum didn’t like the sky roof in the back room. The noise was also very loud from the traffic, which isn’t the host’s fault, but it kept me awake.

This was our 3rd visit. It’s a home away from home, in fact much better than our home. It’s cosy, has everything we need and is in one of favourite locations. Couldn’t ask for more.

Everything was superb, the cottage is magnificent, it had everything one could want. The photos of the renovation were incredible, Linda had great taste. Can't wait to stay again for more that 2 nights.
