Thyme Cottage

Wonderful cosy cottage in a great location only 10 mins drive from Whitby and near to Robin Hood bay. We felt really welcome by Debbie and Robert who were very friendly and available if we needed anything. Cottage was very clean and cosy with all the facilities we needed. Wonderful to have the log fire for the chiller evenings. Beautiful views of Whitby and the sea from the fields surrounding the property. Would come back again.

Thyme cottage is set in a courtyard with far reaching views of Whitby it's quirky but very cosy you can hear a pin drop it's so quiet Robert and Debbie are lovely and very helpful we had a lovely relaxing stay here during the Whitby pirate festival which is worth visiting there's some great walks obviously if your going to Whitby then you got to have fish and chips there's a great open top tour bus which was a great tour a steam railway and why not catch a pirate boat ride and see the dolphins fabulous stay at thyme cottage we will be back again

Excellent location. Sun set view of Whitby abbey. 10mins to Whitby and 30mins to Scarborough in the car. Cute and cosy cottage.

Beautiful rustic cottage with amazing views

Diane and Robert were fantastic during our stay, going over and above with a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge on arrival, also letting us know the best places to visit and park when we were out and about. The property has everything you could need and is super dog friendly it is so handy to be able to let the dogs out in the little fields on the property for a quick leg stretch before going anywhere. Located in the perfect place to visit Whitby and robin hoods bay, and would highly recommend the hare and hounds pub just down the road.

Lovely friendly hosts, lovely rural location, easy to find. The cottage is very well equiped, it has all we needed and lots of things we didn't need this time but are good to know are there for a future visit or visit in winter, there is a great looking wood burner with all it needs if you go in cold weather. Very comfy bed. Dogs are very welcome there. Visitors shouldn't let the rustic appearance of the area around the car park put them off, I'm sure it's work in progress. Great view from the fiels and seating area behind the car park. Will go again. Thanks.

The only things I'd put in are a kitchen roll and washing-up bowl.
