Coastguards Cottage

It’s a perfect place to stay! It’s clean and has absolutely everything you need. The location is brilliant, locals are lovely and we wouldn’t book anywhere else.

The cottage had everything, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. A big pack of biscuits were left for us, very nice. The whole house was clean, heating was on when we got here so lovely and warm. The location of the cottage was brilliant, right next to the Abbey and only a few hundred metres to the top of the famous steps down into the town. Rebecca the host kept us well informed from start to finish. Would definitely stay here again. Considering it’s mid October, we got very lucky with the weather, we had a great time. Thank you Rebecca.

The cottage was in a phenomenal location and the views were superb. Loved being close to the abbey and brewery. Very comfortable and relaxing. Great for walks. Host provided milk and refreshments.

Parking restrictions, Our party had 2 cars, so we spent a lot of money on parking,

Facilities well thought out.. Beautiful location. Carton of milk left in fridge very welcome. Very clean

The cottage was lovely and clean, it had everything you could need, beds were comfortable.Views were amazing great location. Bleu enjoyed his first holiday! Will definitely be back!

This was our second year staying at Coastguard cottage and we absolutely love it there. The cottage was immaculately clean and a real home from home. Rebecca the host is lovely and was very helpful with queries we had before the stay. The neighbours are quiet and very friendly they make you feel part of their community. The views from the cottage out onto the coast are breathtaking and in my opinion the best in Whitby. You are situated right next to the coastal path, Abbey and a short walk down the 199 steps to whitby centre. I can't rate the cottage highly enough.

The living room sofa although it looks lovely isn't the comfiest as we kept sliding off the cushions but apart from that it was perfect.
