Spare battery for smoke alarm Garden could have been keep tidy first impressions !! Cottage looking a bit tired could do with a decoration

Lovely cottage, great views, great location. Comfortable and had the amenities we needed. Would stay again. We enjoyed the daily walk up & down the Abbey steps, it was such a great location. The brewery next door was a highlight with music & pizza. The local Thai at the train station is recommended.

Curtains were too thin and the sun rise at 5am directly into our room. However curtains in all the other rooms were nice and thick.

The Location was amazing right next to the Abbey . Very comfortable homely cottage Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay . The host was very obliging and good communication.

Key box next to the door easy to gain access. Property, very clean, was very cosy and warm, we had to turn the heating down even while it was very chilly outside. One point to mention, the property has an Andriod TV this took some getting used to. We don't generally have a TV on much whilst away, however we tried downloading BBC iPlayer but the TV blocked us downloading this and it didn't spoil our evening in.

The property had large patio doors in the lounge giving a great view over the bay

The location was great but not for the faint hearted as needed to climb the 199 steps from the main town

Fabulous location with amazing views from large patio doors/windows overlooking Whitby bay. Next door to the Abbey and the Brewery. Short walk down the steps to the old town (longer walk back up - it is steep!). Spacious property. Very clean. All in working order. Kitchen has most things you need. Clear directions and key collection. Helpful and friendly (but not intrusive) neighbours. Great base for a week in Whitby and North Yorkshire. Good wifi - was able to do some work remotely. Perfect for costal walks - major path right in front of the house - lovely walk to and from Robin Hood Bay.

Some slightly more detailed instructions about the television would be helpful - but we worked it out. Would love a radio in the kitchen, but appreciate most folk would use their phones. Not a dislike for us, but the stairs in the property and the steep walk into town would make it a challenge for someone with reduced mobility.

The location was amazing. The cottage had everything we needed. The whole process was easy and straightforward
