Host & Stay - Dolphin Cottage 1736

Hieno sijainti kaupungissa ja asunto oli kaunis ja siisti.

Piti itse ostaa lisää vessapaperina, asunnossa oli vain yksi rulla. Roskikset sijaitsivat ulkona aivan oven edessä ja ikkunoiden alla ja ne houkuttelivat lokkeja, joiden meteli häiritsi unta. Sisäpihan roskainen tunnelma onneksi unohtui asunnon kauneuden myötä.

The cottage was lovely nice and clean and lovely decor and in a really good location very cosy

The only thing that I thought could be better would be a hand rail at the bottom of the stairs into kitchen diner as we were all over 70 and could have done with an extra rail

It was so quaint the grandchildren 11 & 13 loved it

Not that we didn’t like it but the stairs are a bit difficult…. Parking a wee problematic

Great location property was very clean and modern and old cottage so stairs not suitable for people with bad legs but highly recomend

Clean, well equipped, great location close to town and all amenities.

Very steep, narrow stairs . Fine for us, but could be difficult for some. There is no parking with the property , so good to check out local overnight parking before your stay as it changes with the seasons .

Lovely location, very close to everything in Whitby so as a young family we could come and go as often as we needed. The cottage was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. It’s small but cosy - as are most properties in Whitby. The girls loved the roomy attic space.

The only downside was that there was miscommunication about the parking situation- whenever I messaged about it, there seemed to be a mix of automated responses and human responses, which differed. There wasn’t a parking permit provided, so without this you will incur hefty council carpark charges or end up parking a long walk away. That was a shame really as it did cause anxiety, and there were plenty of permit spaces free just up the road.

The location is perfect. A short walk to the centre. The cottage had most things that you would need for a weekend stay, there was just a few little things that would have helped our stay, or if we had known they weren't provided, we would have brought our own.

The pillows in the top bedroom need replacing as they are almost on their last legs, as in flat If you want to watch TV then, its not ideal as the sofas are sideways, so you get a crick in the neck, luckily we had not come to watch TV. There was no sponge to do the washing up, but washing up liquid was provided. There was a cloth so we used that until we bought our own sponge. It was hard to get up and down the stairs with luggage as the stairs are tight, but it is a fishermans cottage, so to be expected. The key provided is not on a keyring, so easy to misplace if you arnt careful.
