Dippy cottage

Dippy is perfection....this was my 3rd visit! Wouldn't stay anywhere else

An outside light to see the lockbox better would be helpful

Everything about Dippy Cottage was exceptionally good. Clean, comfortable and quirky. Jo the host was great, very helpful and friendly.

De cottage zat vol met verrassingen. Ik raakte niet uitgekeken naar alle schilderijtjes, verstopte muisjes en andere snuisterijen. Heel gastvrij met alle extra’s zoals een fles prosecco, chips, melk, eieren en andere lekkernijen. Ook aan de hond werd gedacht met extraatjes. Locatie is fijn voor uitstapjes zoals dagje Rye en een dagje Seven sisters.

Dat er alleen een bad was waar je niet staand kon douchen. Er is geen ruimte voor een douche dus ik snap de keuze. Er zou eens een keer goed met een ragebol door het huisje gegaan moeten worden. Best veel spinnenwebben en spinnen gezien.

Everything! So imaginatively decorated and contained everything you could possible need, and more. Absolutely loved the deep bath and quiet private courtyard especially. Excellent location for bus and transport links. I didn't need to use the car at all during my stay, which remained safely parked outside. 10min walk to beach & much less to local shops.

Difficult to find anything not to like. As others have reported the front door key takes a bit of getting used to. The email containing the key code had gone to my spam folder so I knocked next door for assistance & was grateful for a demonstration as I would have struggled otherwise. Apart from that, I might have preferred some net curtains at the front but can see that might not go with decor.

Beautifully appointed, nice appliances and a well stocked kitchen The welcome hamper is the most generous and thoughtful I've ever come across

It's worth knocking next door to get a hand with the old fashioned key! No washing machine was no problem for a short stay, but would have been welcome if staying longer

The location was perfect as we had family in the area. A short walk to shops, and the sea only 5 minutes away in the car. The little garden area was beautiful to sit in and so quiet.

we are elderly and couldn't get in and out of the bath. We would have preferred a shower

Quirky cottage, good facilities, great location for the town and golf course. Lovely bath, decent bed.

Only has a bath, difficult to use the shower to rinse hair. Pillows not great.

Dippy cottage is a treasure box of goodies!! All furnishings and decor are exceptional. Jo has really thought of everything visitors may need during their stay. My husband & I visited for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary and the cottage made it even more special. We managed to find 11 of the 13 wooden mice that are hidden within the cottage, we became obsessed trying to find them. We'll have to go back to find the last 2!!

The only bad thing - going home!
