Dippy cottage

Cosy place, good location walking distance to Cooden beach and shops. Small hamper with necesssities and treats was a welcome surprise.

Small thing, that didn’t detract from a lovely stay but will mention here: the old key was a bit of an issue at times, bit of a knack to open it and sometimes unpredictable sometimes would work and other times not.

Dippy Cottage is a charming, cozy retreat that offers everything needed for a peaceful escape. The cottage is beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and the thoughtful welcome pack was a lovely touch. The host was warm, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return!

Nothing to dislike!

This was our second visit, which speaks for itself. The cottage is ingeniously and tastefully set out with a mix of memorabilia and modern facilities. It was nice to leave the car parked outside for the whole stay and go walking in various directions, such as Cooden Beach, the coastal path all the way to St Leonard's, and footpaths and lanes up to Hooe for lunch at the Red Lion. On a rainy day, we used our bus passes on the route that runs all the way to Eastbourne in one direction and Hastings in the other.

I liked all the different items positioned everywhere with interest on every wall. Hamper on arrival with milk and butter in fridge was a great touch. Definitely a cosy feel and a good range of books if weather was bad. Easy access to main road.

Hammering and drilling next door on two out of the three nights I was there.., distracted from enjoying Wimbledon and the England v. Spain game. Really annoying when TV dropped out quite a bit. It was a shame the outside comfy terrace seats hadn’t been brushed off or cleaned.
