The Old School House

Lovely spacious cottage near the town centre. Good location to get around.

We booked this property for New Year's primarily because of the stove, which we thought would be cosy and ideal for the freezing weather at this time of year. Unfortunately, there was barely enough wood or firelighters for even one fire. Before entering the house, we asked the host about the availability of wood and were told there was a Lidl nearby where we could buy more. On top of that, we struggled to figure out how to operate the stove and ended up relying mostly on the radiators. This aspect could definitely be improved, especially for guests staying during winter. Another major issue was the shower. The water temperature fluctuated wildly, alternating between freezing cold and scalding hot every few seconds, making it very uncomfortable to use.

We liked the stove, could have been more fuel. A short walk to town. Cosy space. 2 bedrooms were nice.

No plug for sink in kitchen to wash all dishes together, no dishwasher, A bit old fashioned property but cosy The picture advertised for property shows whole house for use as opposed to the 1 part of the house which we stayed in

It was a very cosy cottage with all that u need inside. Rita and Michael were very helpful and if you needed anything they were there. I would recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone. We will definitely be back.

It was only a few minutes by car to the town. Rita was there to greet us when we arrived. It was spacious and clean

The wood provided was green so impossible to burn. I went and purchased more fire lighters but this was a waste of time.
